The Gold Country Gathering and California Classic will be held at the Glenn County Fairgrounds in Orland, CA. This is a dirt and artificial-turf arena facility. We will be utilizing one large open-air barn with a dirt/gravel floor for all stalls. Show arena's will be open-sided with either a dirt floor or artificial-turf.

Check-in

We will have Dr. Katie Dodson as our vet for check in. Please enter fairgrounds from E. South Street (Use South Street exit from I-5 and follow signs to Fairgrounds). Please follow signs to Vet Check.

Check-in times are:

9am - 5pm

CVI - Your CVI must be dated within 30 days of the last day of the show.  **Your Vet must also annotate BVDV tested negative or not detected along with the test date on the CVI and that it was a PCR test, this includes companion animals.  Microchip number must also be listed on the CVI.  Please show up with an original and one copy of your CVI to present and give to the vet check station for show records.  If you have a digital CVI from your vet, you must Print Two Copies of your digital CVI for check in.  Digital CVI's are not accepted at check in.  We have no way to print your CVI. 

Unloading - There are multiple entrances to the stall barn to allow for unloading of large trailers, depending on the size of your trailer you may be allowed to drive through the barn. Contact Event Manager - Russ Mello or Barn Manager Russell James to see if you can enter barn with you vehicle setup. Please refer to the Check In Day Map above.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be checked in by 5pm so that we can complete color checks and complete the show book before the printers close at 8pm. 

Stalling - The barn floor is dirt/road base mix. All stall material must be cleaned up and disposed of in proper containers. The Fairgrounds has a composting facility, all compostable waste is to be placed in the compost waste bins, any non-compostable materials (ie, landscape fabric) is to be placed in proper trash bins. If you purchased a Sponsorship that included stall cleaning we will take care of cleaning your stall. A cleaning fee of $25 per stall will be charged if stalls are not cleaned at departure.

Please bring you bedding/mats with you. If you need to purchase local, Bucke's Feed & Grain is located at 1308 Railroad Ave, Orland, and The Hay Wagon is located at 834 6th Street, Orland. Both are close to the fairgrounds as approach the venue.
